Our Village

Ancient stone church ruins with a tall tower and surrounding graveyard with headstones, green grass, trees, and a sunset sky.

Ballyboughal is a picturesque village in the heart of Fingal, North County Dublin. Its name, derived from the Irish "Baile Bachaille" meaning "Town of the Staff," reflects its historical significance as the former resting place of the revered Bachal Ísu, - a sacred relic associated with St. Patrick.

The village is home to the ruins of a medieval church that once safeguarded the relic, standing as a testament to its rich heritage. Today, Ballyboughal is a vibrant rural community, and home to new families and local businesses.
